Growing your email list with webinars is one of the MOST effective ways to see fast growth to your list. Even a “small” website can expect to see 50+ new subscribers just by advertising the webinar for a week.
People LOVE webinars. There is no better way to grow a connection and build trust from your audience than being able to answer questions on the spot and share a ton of knowledge in less than an hour.
People also KNOW that they have to exchange an email address to gain access to the link into the webinar and then to the replay afterwards.
HERE ARE A FEW STEPS TO GET YOU STARTED:
1. PICK A TOPIC
You can take a look at your most popular blog posts to get an idea for a topic. See what your audience likes and what you can talk for a while on.
2. MAKE AN OUTLINE
Before you make a sign up page think of an outline that you will be talking about. Just because its free doesn’t mean people will automatically sign up for it. Pick about 5 smaller points to talk about in your topic and go from there.
3. MAKE A SIGN UP PAGE
I like to make a blog post for the webinar AND then another sign up page as well. On the blog post I list out the bullet points that I will be talking about. This is the page that I like to share on social media as well.
4. PROMOTE IT EVERYWHERE
Be sure to share it in any facebook group you are a part of, make it your insta bio link and then make posts about it, share it multiple times a day on twitter and even consider a few mini preview periscopes on your topic. Don’t forget to send out an email to your current email subscribers and ask them to share it to their followers.
You DON’T just find new people by posting to your social media- you ALSO need to ask your followers to share it on theirs. Yes, of course you are always getting new people on each platform BUT you will grow faster in all areas by having your current followers share and making their audience YOUR audience too.
